Born with an insatiable thirst for 80s Hair Metal and roleplaying games, Mary knew from a young age she wanted to write about the weird, wonderful things in her head. She was also that obnoxious kid who only knew three songs on the piano but played them incessantly AND joyfully sung off-key, so really, the music ambitions shouldn't be surprising. You can often find her writing about lesbians in the basement, singing (still joyfully, still off-key) in the shower, recording conversations she overhears for use in future novels, or sleeping wherever she can find the time or space.
